Welcome from the Executive DirectorThroughout another different year with COVID-19, FLCRC has remained committed to providing services and assisting families. We held several events serving 398 families and 110 crime victims in 2021. In-person events were tremendously impacted this year; however, our Youth Ambassador Leadership Education (Y.A.L.E.) students still managed to earn 538 service- learning volunteer hours, completed 15 service projects, and interviewed for several scholarships. We were delighted to host our 5th Annual Banquet in-person with 130 attendees to celebrate our students. The Y.A.L.E. leaders showcased their service-learning activities, interacted with guests, and were engaged with an amazing keynote message from Mr. Cedrick LeFleur. We are very excited and ready for 2022. On January 22nd, FLCRC will host our Y.A.L.E. Orientation meeting to welcome new students to the group. FLCRC’s Family First: New Triumphs Capital Campaign is well on the way and very close to reaching our $125,000 goal for this fiscal year. We are celebrating 10 years of service this year and anticipate moving into the new building this spring. FLCRC’s new facility will have several counseling offices, a computer room, meeting room and a multi-purpose room for client services. To learn more about the Capital Campaign, download the FLCRC App or visit FamilyLifeCRC.org/campaign. Sincerely, Ilene Harper, Ph.D. |
