Youth Ambassador Leadership Education (Y.A.L.E.) is a student-led program created to provide area-wide leadership opportunities for students to be actively involved with planning and implementing community initiatives. Y.A.L.E. links students throughout the community with real-life opportunities to develop their leadership skills. The Y.A.L.E. program is designed for students 5th grade through college to meet, plan and execute activities and events, in order to foster shared leadership and responsibility. As a member, students participate in various activities related to character building, leadership, service learning, and college and career preparation.

There are two student groups:

  • Pre-Y.A.L.E.: 5th through 8th grade
  • Y.A.L.E.: 9th grade through college.

Creating a New Summer Enrichment Experience

The Youth Ambassador Leadership Education (Y.A.L.E.) program provides students 5th grade through college the opportunity to participate in activities related to character building, leadership, service learning, and college and career preparation. A key component of the Y.A.L.E. program is our annual five-day Summer Enrichment Camp, which the students not only help to plan, but also attend and facilitate as volunteers.

Our plan is to transform the five-day camp into a six-weeks experience, immersing students in highly engaging, fun and interactive activities focused on STEM, entrepreneurship, technology & AI, communications & social media, college & career preparation, language and culture.

Exciting Plans for Our Youth

Our Fiscal Year 2025-26 Capital Campaign, FLCRC’s Future: Building a New Generation of Leaders, is a key component of our strategic growth plan for the next five years. Our goal is to raise $200,000 to support the expansion of our Youth Ambassador Leadership Education (Y.A.L.E.) program. These funds will transform our one-week Summer Enrichment Camp into a six-weeks Summer Enrichment Experience!
