F.L.C.R.C. Creative Media & Podcast Internship

Position Overview

The Family Life and Community Resource Center (F.L.C.R.C.) is seeking motivated and creative students to serve as F.L.C.R.C. Creative Media & Podcast Interns supporting the Youth Ambassadors Leadership Education (Y.A.L.E.) program and F.L.C.R.C. initiatives.

This team-based internship integrates photography, graphic design, social media, podcast production, and digital storytelling, while also supporting F.L.C.R.C.’s Workforce Readiness & Career Pathways (WRCP) Initiative.

Interns will play a key role in capturing and sharing the impact of F.L.C.R.C. programs, while also helping to promote career pathways, workforce readiness skills, and employer engagement opportunities through media and technology.

Each intern will be assigned a primary role based on their strengths and interests, while gaining exposure across all areas.

  • Time Commitment: 12 months (June 2026 – June 2027)

Core Responsibilities (All Interns)

  • Support F.L.C.R.C. and Y.A.L.E. events through media coverage and content creation
  • Promote programs, workforce initiatives, and community events
  • Assist in highlighting career pathways, workforce readiness skills, and student success stories
  • Collaborate with team members to create engaging, mission-aligned content
  • Participate in planning, recording, and promoting podcast content
  • Utilize the F.L.C.R.C. App to support communication, scheduling, content tracking, and program engagement
  • Attend scheduled meetings and training sessions with F.L.C.R.C. staff
  • Assist with audio/video setup for events and podcast recording
  • Support use of the F.L.C.R.C. App
  • Organize and manage digital media files and content libraries
  • Ensure proper care and use of technology resources

Role Assignments (Primary Focus Areas)

Each intern will be assigned one primary role, while supporting other areas as needed.

  1. Photography & Visual Storytelling Lead
  • Capture photos during Y.A.L.E. sessions, WRCP activities, and F.L.C.R.C. events
  • Document workforce training, employer engagement, and student participation
  • Use artistic techniques to create compelling visual stories
  • Maintain and manage photography equipment
  • Collaborate with team to edit and prepare images for publication
  1. Social Media & Workforce Content Strategy Lead
  • Increase engagement across F.L.C.R.C., Y.A.L.E., and WRCP platforms
  • Promote workforce readiness programs, events, internships, and career pathways
  • Assist in developing and scheduling content for platforms such as:
    • Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X (Twitter), and YouTube
  • Share student achievements, certifications, and career exposure opportunities
  • Monitor trends and recommend innovative strategies
  1. Podcast Production & Career Exploration Lead
  • Assist in planning podcast episodes focused on:
    • Career exploration
    • Workforce readiness skills
    • Student leadership and success stories
    • Employer and community partner interviews
  • Develop episode outlines, scripts, and interview questions
  • Develop podcast cover art, thumbnails, and digital branding assets
  • Support recording, editing, and publishing podcast episodes
  • Promote podcast content across digital platforms
  • Ensure consistency with F.L.C.R.C. branding across all platforms

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Ability to meet regularly with F.L.C.R.C. administrators (in-person or virtual)
  • Interest in media, podcasting, workforce development, marketing, or technology
  • Basic knowledge of social media platforms (or willingness to learn)
  • Strong creativity and willingness to contribute ideas
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours with reliable transportation
