A Message from the Executive DirectorFLCRC’s Grand Reopening Celebration on August 27th was a historic event! This iconic moment took place in our newly renovated facility. FLCRC is very excited to serve the community in this beautiful, safe and spacious location. Thank you to everyone who shared in this goal becoming a reality. We are Celebrating 10 Years of Service! Our work began in 2012 in Richmond and Rosenberg with our signature event, the annual Back-2-School Parent Chat. After hosting this event virtually for the past two years due to COVID-19, this year we were able to provide a hybrid model, hosting both virtual and in-person sessions for over 100 students and parents. On August 31st, our Scholarships and Awards application period opened. Each year, we present several scholarships and awards to outstanding students who demonstrate academic potential, leadership, and a commitment to community service. On September 22nd, FLCRC became the owner of our amazing 12,000 sq. ft. building. We currently utilize a little over 6,000 sq. ft. of the space. Our youth leaders and program participants are very excited about the new location. FLCRC is making BIG strides towards our mission, “Building Better Communities by Building Stronger Families.“ Our Y.A.L.E. leaders have been working very hard this year. They are hosting their first event, the Y.A.L.E. House of Horror on October 21st and 22nd in the new building! We need your help to continue this amazing journey! Please join us on December 3rd for our “Black Tie” Annual Banquet and celebrate 10 years of service with us. Your support will help us achieve our Capital Campaign goal to raise $125,000 in 2022. Please come by the center or visit FamilyLifeCRC.org/banquet to purchase tickets and learn more about FLCRC. Sincerely, Ilene Harper, Ph.D. |
