In support of National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month and Unity Day, FLCRC hosted a community event at Friends of North Richmond on Saturday, October 12th for students, educators, parents, and community leaders to STAND AGAINST BULLYING. The day’s activities included informative sessions, fun activities for students, dancing, delicious food provided by Jus Good Que, and wonderful prizes.
Attendees were encouraged to GO ORANGE in support of Unity Day by sporting various orange giveaway items. Utilizing PACER’s “You’re Not Alone” curriculum, informational breakout sessions shared about the impact of bullying, the importance of safe and supportive schools and communities, how to support those experiencing bullying or those vulnerable to bullying, and how to build a culture where help with bullying is easily accessible to students.
Thank you students, parents and volunteers for getting us a step closer to eliminating bullying!
