A Message from the Executive DirectorHappy New Year! FLCRC had a historic year, celebrating 10 years of service in 2022. Hosting the annual banquet in our new facility was the biggest highlight this quarter. FLCRC continued to provide services and assist families throughout the transition into the new building. We held several events serving 350 families and 75 crime victims in 2022. Our Youth Ambassador Leadership Education (Y.A.L.E.) leaders earned 653 service-learning volunteer hours and completed 14 service projects. The 6th Annual Banquet was a sold-out Black Tie event with 140 guests enjoying the activities in celebration of this iconic moment in FLCRC history. The Y.A.L.E. leaders showcased their portfolios, interacted with guests, captured their fine dress attire with the 360° photo booth, and were empowered by the amazing keynote message from Dr. Kelli Burroughs, Sweetwater OB/GYN Chief of Staff for Memorial Hermann. We also spent the evening recognizing the Y.A.L.E. scholarship and award winners, honoring crime survivors and showing appreciation to our generous supporters. We are excited about 2023! FLCRC’s Family First: New Triumphs Capital Campaign is well on the way and very close to reaching our $400,000 goal by 2024.
