A Message from the Executive DirectorThe Youth Ambassador Leadership Education (Y.A.L.E.) students embarked on a powerful year. In January, we welcomed Y.A.L.E. leaders to the ninth year of the program. FLCRC’s outstanding team hosted several influential Y.A.L.E. events with interactive engagement this quarter. In February, FLCRC hosted its first Black History program, drawing a full house of active and engaged guests. The Y.A.L.E. students captivated the audience with a Jeopardy-style Quiz Bowl Competition, showcasing their in-depth knowledge of Black History. FLCRC continues to serve as an exceptional resource for this community. During March’s scholastic session, Y.A.L.E. Leaders emphasized college and career preparation to support our high school seniors. FLCRC is delighted to showcase our 2025 graduates this year. Their diligence and dedication have equipped them for the next phase in their journey towards excellence. FLCRC is preparing for our June Summer Enrichment Camp, and registration is now open on a first-come, first-served basis. This engaging week-long program is tailored for students from grade 2nd to college level. Furthermore, Y.A.L.E. has launched a fundraising campaign to support their upcoming trip to Canada in 2026. FLCRC is organizing various activities to support the Y.A.L.E. leaders’ trip. Several opportunities are available to provide support. Please visit our website, download the FLCRC App, and follow us on Facebook, X, Instagram, and YouTube for more information. Sincerely, Ilene Harper, Ph.D. |
