We invite you to join us for this exciting event honoring former Y.A.L.E. Leader Dakota Merriweather!

Dakota Merriweather was born on November 14, 2000 in Omaha, Nebraska to Dennis Crump, Jr. and Dalila Merriweather. She grew up in Texas and graduated from Katy Taylor High School in Houston. Dakota’s greatest passion was dance. She performed with the Dazzling Gemz Cheer Team. Dakota was also a multi-sport athlete. She played basketball and competed as a sprinter in track and field. Dakota was a big influence in her community. She was a proud member of The Empowerment Center of Katy Church and B.E.A.U.T.Y. Mentoring. After graduating from high school, Dakota attended Texas Southern University to pursue studies in Health, Kinesiology, and Sports. She was in her third year at the university.

All proceeds from this event will support the FLCRC Dakota Merriweather Scholarship, which is awarded annually to a high school student with outstanding character and service to the community.

Register by Friday, October 25th as an individual or as a four-member team to support this important scholarship in honor of Dakota!
