In support of National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month and Unity Day 2017, FLCRC hosted a community event at Wessendorf Middle School on Saturday, October 28th for students, educators, parents, and community leaders to STAND AGAINST BULLYING.
Attendees were encouraged to GO ORANGE in support of Unity Day by sporting various orange giveaway items. Utilizing PACER’s “You’re Not Alone” curriculum, informational breakout sessions shared about the impact of bullying, the importance of safe and supportive schools and communities, how to support those experiencing bullying or those vulnerable to bullying, and how to build a culture where help with bullying is easily accessible to students.
Thank you to FLCRC members and volunteers for making this event a success, and to the community members who attended and helped us mobilize in support of this important issue!
