Scholarships & Awards Program

Overview

Each year, the Family Life and Community Resource Center (FLCRC) presents several scholarships and awards to outstanding students. Recipients must demonstrate academic potential, leadership, and a commitment to community service. FLCRC’s mission is to Build Better Communities by Building Stronger Families. A significant part of our program services are focused on youth and addressing their individual needs to strengthen the family.

Scholarship and Award Amounts

An amount of $500-$1,000 per scholarship/award will be given.

Eligibility

  • To be eligible to apply for the FLCRC Outstanding Senior Scholarship, Hildred Jones-Drain Scholarship, and Dakota Merriweather Scholarship, the applicant must be a first-time recipient and a
    Texas high-school graduating senior.
  • To be eligible to apply for the Y.A.L.E. Leader of the Year Scholarship, FLCRC Outstanding Student Scholarship, and FLCRC Service Learning Scholarship, the applicant must be a first-time recipient and a Y.A.L.E. member.
  • To be eligible to apply for the FLCRC Outstanding College Student Scholarship, the applicant must be a first-time recipient, a Y.A.L.E. member and a current college student.
  • To be eligible to apply for the Pre-Y.A.L.E. Emerging Leader Award and Pre-Y.A.L.E. Service Learning Award, the applicant must be a first-time recipient and Pre-Y.A.L.E. member.
  • To be eligible to apply for any scholarships or awards, the applicant must not have a balance owed to FLCRC.
